If baby was born this week, he’d be ready to face the world. He’s more than likely head down at this point. If not, there’s still some time for him to change positions. Your partner’s doctor can help with this as well. The baby’s getting in position for the final countdown (cue Europe’s greatest hit). This means baby will “drop” and you’ll notice your partner’s bump getting lower.

If she’s experiencing contractions, time them, see how long they last and how far apart they are. Once they are five minutes apart and last one minute each, it’s time to call her doctor and likely head to the hospital. If she is getting any sleep these days, ask her about her dreams. Pregnant women often have wild, vivid dreams at this stage. This has the potential to really spice up the ol’ dream journal.
